Depart Christchurch on RNZAF bus to Tekapo
Visit Tekapo Alpine Springs and join in the ice-skating, snow sliding and hot pools in a lovely winter setting
Overnight at Lake Tekapo Youth Hostel

Wednesday 20 July

Travel to Alexandra.  Local Squadron will provide programme for the day.  Great scenic South Island country side
Overnight Alexandra with Squadron billets

Thursday 21 July

Travel to Queenstown (Adventure capital of NZ)
Bungy jumping (optional self pay)
Take Kawarau Jet boat trip from Queenstown onto the shallow Shotover River
Travel up on the Queenstown Gondola to the Skyline complex and ride down on the luge
Squadron Potluck dinner and overnight with billets

Friday 22 July

Travel to Christchurch with sightseeing along the way
Visit RNZAF Museum
Dinner and meet local ATC Squadrons
Overnight at Burnham Military Camp

Saturday 23 July

Visit Antarctic Centre, take part in the Antarctic Experience
Travel onto Blenhem via Kaikoura and overnight at RNZAF Base Wodbourne
Visit Museum of Flight

Sunday 24 July

Take the inter-island ferry from Picton to Wellington
Overnight with billets in Wellington

Monday 25 July

Wellington programme visits to National Museum Te Papa
National War Memorial, Cable car and Lambton Quay walk
Overnight with Wellington Squadrons

Tuesday 26 July

Continue Wellington programme
Meet with Chief of Defence Force and Single Service Chiefs
Visit with Commandant NZ Cadet Forces

Wednesday 27 July

Continue onto RNZAF Base Ohakea
Flights with No 3 Squadron (Iroquois)
Overnight at RNZAF Base Ohakea

Thursday 28 July

Travel to Waiouru Military Camp (Army training camp)
Tour of the Training Area
Stay overnight at Waiouru Marae and experience a true Maori greeting

Friday 29 July

Visit Queen Elizabeth 2nd Army Museum
Travel onto Rotorua
Overnight with Billets

Saturday 30 July

Experience Maori culture in the heart of the New Zealand Tourist area and visits as planned by the Rotorua Squadrons
Overnight billets

Sunday 31 July

Continue onto Thames (via Waitomo glowworm caves and Kiwi House
Overnight with billets from the Thames Squadron

Monday 1 August

Take part in a tramp into the Waitawhetu Hut in the Kaimai Forest Park and stay overnight in a lovely bush setting.
An easy tramp and all necessary equipment supplied (i.e. back pack, wet weather gear, rations) Sturdy walking shoes sufficient

Tuesday 2 August

Walk out from hut and travel onto RNZAF Base Whenuapai in Auckland for the night

Wednesday 3 August

All depart for home
